Laura Rusk

Laura Rusk, 64, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away May 24, 2018.  She was born on December 14, 1953 in Ohio to parents James and Laura (Hewlett) Bruce. She was a proud member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs. Laura loved her family and friends. She loved reading her bible and loved animals. She also enjoyed walking, gardening, riding her bike, cooking, baking and crocheting. She was a strong and loyal sister as well as an amazing aunt.  She loved chatting with the community also. She will be remembered for never meeting a stranger. Laura will be missed by all she had a kind heart and would help anybody in need. R.I.P our angel.

She was preceded in death by her mom, Laura Mae Bruce; dad, James Edward Bruce; and her sisters, Karen Bruce and Linda Johnson.  Survivors include her significant other of 25 years, Dale Maxon; brothers, Pat Bruce of Green Cove Springs, Florida and Robert Bruce (Valerie) of Middleburg, Florida; sister, Dodie Burchfield of Green Cove Springs, Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Franklin officiating. Lunch will follow at noon.
