Lawrence E. Cook, 65, of Keystone Heights, FL died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, January 12, 2018. He was born on October 20, 1952 in Barrett, WV to Novillis Cook of Madison, WV and the late Bethel Cook, who died on January 9, 2014. He attended Van High School and went into the Army immediately from school serving in Vietnam then the Army Reserves. Lawrence was also a bass fisherman.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carla Cook of fourteen years; daughters, Carleigh Cook (James Smith) of the home, Rachel McClintock and Julie Murray (Shawn) of Ocala; step-daughters, Darla Reyes and Donna Hesson of Green Cove Springs; mother and father-in-law, Carl and Sue Forshey; sister, Dreama Miller (Jack) and brother Terry Miller of WV; mother of his girls, Shelia Cook Bray of Ocala; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends and his dogs, Lucky and Bayligh who were his companions.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs.
