Lawrence "Mike" Vosburg

Lawrence "Mike" Vosburg, age 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on September 19, 2024. Mike was born on May 28, 1943 in Schenectady, NY. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1961 and after graduating from high school Mike enlisted in the US Navy where he served 6 years as a Quartermaster onboard two Destroyers. Mike spent his professional career as a Master welder for General Electric and Maintenance supervisor for Gate roofing. He and his wife, Donna, called Green Cove Springs, Florida, home for almost 40 years after relocating from Schenectady.

He was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1988 in Green Cove Springs and loved to go surf fishing at Anastasia State Park, or anyplace he could find a beach. In his time at home he loved to be with family, watch the Channel 4 News and old westerns.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Earl Vosburg and Edna Patricia Gross.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Vosburg; sons Rodney (Julie), Jason (Leslie) and Timothy (Stephanie); as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Patricia (Bill) Oleksak of Ballston Spa, New York and three nephews.

A funeral service will be held for Mike on Thursday, September 26th at 11:30AM at the Broadus-Raines Chapel. The family will accept guests one hour prior at 10:30AM. Burial will take place on Monday, September 30th at 1:00PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
