Leigh Chapman

Leigh Chapman, 61, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, passed away February 6, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL.  She was born on April 9, 1960 at Ramey AFB, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.  She was a graduate of the Class of 1978 Fletcher High School.

Leigh is the former Church Pianist at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville Beach and First Baptist Church of Ponte Vedra Palm Valley as well as solos and ensemble Choral and Band Fletcher High School. She loved children and worked as a Preschool Teacher at several in the Jacksonville Beach and Jacksonville area for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Donna and Lonnie Francis and sister, Sue, Frankie and Twin Lorie.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Chapman; daughter, Megan Moore (Tom); sister, Connie Francis Bingham of Kansas and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Neptune Baptist Church, 407 3^rd St., Neptune Beach, FL 32266.  Family will welcome friends an hour before the service.

A graveside service will be held 10:30 am, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
