Levi William Shepherd

Levi William Shepherd, 9 years old,  passed gently from his parent’s arms and into the arms of Jesus in the early hours of July 20th, 2022. 

Levi was born to Tyler and Jacquelyn Shepherd on November 5th, 2012 in Orange Park, Florida and brought immense joy to everyone around him. Levi struggled with IHPRF syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut Epilepsy. Although his family's hearts are forever broken, Levi is now in heaven and has won his earthly battle. 

He loved Mickey Mouse and the hot dog dance, giving kisses, Dave & Ava nursery rhymes, and swinging on the porch swing.  He attended School at Thunderbolt Elementary in Fleming Island and built many everlasting friendships with the teachers and his fellow classmates. He brought smiles and love with him everywhere he went.

Levi was preceded in death by Great Grandfather, William Shepherd; Great-Great Grandparents, Louis and Vivian LeBlanc and Uncle Ronnie Wilkes.

Levi deeply loved his family and is survived by his parents, Tyler and Jacquelyn; sister, Cheyenne and brother Weston; Grandmother Pam Shepherd; Papaw and Mamaw Mark and Lori West; Great Grandmother, Vivian Shepherd; Uncles and Aunts, Dusty and Kaci Shepherd,  Travis and Charley Shepherd, Meghan Wilkes, Josh and Nicole Glisson and John West; Great Aunts, Shellie Shepherd, Ann (Greg) Shaw and Brenda (Jim) Lombardo; Cousins, Brylee, Lawson, Rosalee, Taelynn, Joel, Amber and many other family and friends. 

Levi’s service will be Thursday, July 28th at 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church of Middleburg, Florida. The family will receive family and friends prior to the service starting at 4:30pm. The service will also be streamed live on First Baptist Middleburg’s Facebook page.  

Levi’s family is requesting in lieu of flowers or if you would like to honor Levi, that donations be made to two organizations who are so very near and dear to their hearts: Dreams Come True of Jacksonville and PedsCare Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
