Lewis Drew Wingard March 8, 1935 – September 12, 2017 Lewis passed away on September 12, 2017 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 82. He was born to Reuben and Nellie (Hicks) Wingard on March 8, 1935 in Birmingham, AL. Lewis married his first wife in 1957 and they had two daughters, Carrie, Sherri. He met his second wife Ruthie while bartending at the Batavia Moose Lodge and married her on March 2, 1979. He was a Vice President of Operations for Follett Corporation for 37 years and retired at the age of 62. Lewis became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in 1969 when he joined Batavia, IL Lodge #682. On October 3, 1975 he received his Fellowship Degree of Honor and was a past Governor. On May 19, 2014 he became a member of the 25 Club. Lewis and Ruth came to Moosehaven on February 2, 2004 where he resided for 13 years. Funeral Services will be on September 19, 2017 at 9:30am in the Moosehaven chapel with Rev. Helen Taylor officiating and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. Interment will follow in the Moosehaven Mausoleum. Lewis is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Ruth Wingard; daughters, Carrie Bierhodt and Sherri Lakrawala Wingard both of Jacksonville, FL and step-daughter Peggy Walley of Orange Park, FL. 7 grandchildren, Jason, Brock, Sara, Hunter, Marcus, Aubrey and Jadee as well as 3 great-grandchildren.
