Linda K. Reihing-Lloyd

Linda K. Reihing-Lloyd, age 79, passed on to her next life on September 5, 2024. She was a resident of Fleming Island for 19 years.

Linda was born in Sandusky, Ohio on April 29, 1945. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing Toledo Ohio, in 1966. She continued her nursing profession for 30 years in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida and Texas.

After nursing, Linda had a retail career for 7 years before retiring. She was a volunteer for Hospice of Southwest Florida in Ellenton, FL and Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL. She enjoyed reading. Linda was on the founding Friends of the Fleming Island Library board and was active in library functions.

Linda also enjoyed golf, cruising, bridge, mahjong and time spent with her many friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Douglas of Fleming Island; sons Eric Reihing (Rachel) and Jason Reihing of Lexington, KY; grandchildren Taylor, Macy, Logan and Ally of Lexington, KY. Sister Sally Lusignan (Steve) of Ocala, FL; stepdaughter Sheila Hiestand (Dave); step grandchildren Michael, Maggie and Gracie of Louisville, KY; and stepson Gregory Lloyd of Dayton, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Fleming Island Friends of the Library, or to Community Hospice of Jacksonville, FL.
