Lorraine Driggers, 89, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away October 17, 2017. She was born on February 8, 1928 in Green Cove Springs, FL to the late Theophuis and Ruby (Thomas) Williams. Mrs. Driggers was a lifelong resident of the area, a founding member of Decoy Baptist Church and the loving matriarch of her family. She was a Worthy Matron of the Green Cove Springs Chapter of the order of the Eastern Star, a Grand Warder and a Grand Representative. Mrs. Driggers loved to garden in her greenhouse and once was the proud owner of Lorraine’s Plants. She never met a stranger and will be missed by so many who affectionately called her “Grandma”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Driggers and her son, Robert “Bobby” Driggers, Jr. Mrs. Driggers is survived by her grandchildren, Kathy Rodgers-Richardson (Phillip), Carol Conn and Jeremy Driggers; great-grandchildren, Ryan Wightman (Melissa), Victoria Wightman, Brooke Richardson, Ainsley Richardson, Jesse Richardson, Peyton Richardson, Melissa Olliff and R.J. Olliff; family member, James Petterson. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, October 20, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Bobby Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Decoy Cemetery. Food for the family will be accepted at the reception in Decoy Baptist Church, following the burial.
