Loy Vernon Watson, Sr., 73, went home to be with our dear Lord on Monday, January 8, 2018. He was born in Otter Creek, Florida on December 4, 1944 to the late Dewitt Talmadge and Edith Marie (Smith) Watson. Loy was a self-employed equipment operator and land clearer and was a member of Congregational Holiness Church. He was a kind and loving man who loved the Lord and sharing the Word of God.
Loy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Loy Vernon Watson, Jr. “Dickie”; grandson, Dyllon; brothers, Jesse, Dewitt, Murrel, Eugene, Leon Watson and sister, Ardella Williams.
He is survived by his daughters, Sarene Pringle (Westley), Veronica Wright (Kevin) and Sara Smith-Clark; grandchildren, Stacie Pringle, Steven Pringle, Earl Watson, GavinWright, Morgan Wright, Alexis Smith, Austin Smith and Zath Smith; great-grandchildren, Gatsby and Riley Pringle; brothers, Donald Watson (BJ) and Robert Harris (Rhonda); sisters, Shirley Fullwood (H.M.), Vickey Wilford (Henry), Vivian Revels (Jack), Doris Haddox (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at 11:00am on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Congregational Holiness Church and funeral services will start at 12:00pm with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
