Loyd Warren Hogan

September 15, 1947 — February 25, 2024

Loyd Warren Hogan, 76, of Penney Farms, FL, passed away on February 25, 2024 following complications of cancer. He was born on September 15, 1947, in Lake City, FL, to the late Emma and James Hogan.

Warren attended White Springs School and later earned associates degree at Florida Community College. 

Warren served in the U.S. Army for 11 months. Following his service, he embarked on a 32-year career with the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office.

Upon retirement, he faithfully served as a Meals on Wheels volunteer and Penney Farms driver. 

He was a dedicated member of the Mandarin Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, deacon and sound room operator for more than 20 years. He joined Pinewood Church upon moving to Penney Farms. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda Hogan of 53 years, his daughter Katie Hahn, grandchild Jack Hahn, siblings Evelyn Adams and G.B. Hogan, as well as nephews, Jeff, David and Chris Hogan. Warren was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Hogan and nephew, Allen Hogan.

The graveside service will take place at 9:30 am Monday, March 11, 2024, at Penney Farms Cemetery (3190 SR 16, Penney Farms, FL) with Police Honor Guard.

A funeral service to honor Warren’s life will be held at 10:15 am on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Penney Memorial Church (4465 Poling Blvd., Penney Farms, FL) with a reception immediately following. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch in memory of Warren Hogan.
