Ludwig Bardroff, 84, or Orange Park, FL, passed away on June 19, 2022. He was born on November 11, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY to parents Ludwig and Isabella Bardroff. Mr. Bardroff served his country as a Chief Radioman the U.S. Navy for 25 years and then in Civil Service. He has lived in Orange Park since 1997 and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. A quiet, loving man, he enjoyed working and spending his time with family and friends. Born in Brooklyn, he grew up a Dodgers fan and stayed loyal to them his whole life. An avid sports fan, he followed his teams with a passion. He enjoyed going to football games, baseball games and hockey games as well. He also loved to play golf. He will also be remembered for pulling a prank or two on those he loved. He enlisted in the Navy and served at several duty stations in CA, NY, RI, VA, MD and finally FL. He retired in 1981 in Key West, FL, after obtaining the rank Radioman Chief. After the Navy, his next job was for the Civil Service in Key West. It was after his Civil Service retirement that he moved to Orange Park, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Rona Bardroff; his son, James Bardroff and his sister, Anne Arundel. He is survived by his brother, Raymond Bardroff (Allie) of Queens, NY; his children, Debra Davidson (Mark) of Crofton, KY, Robert Bardroff (Laura) of Orange Park, FL, Larry Bardroff (Sharon) of Virginia Beach, VA and Michael Bardroff (Elizabeth) of Apopka, FL; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Fr. Maurice Culver as celebrant. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
