Marcella “Marcy” A. Stachowiak of Fleming Island, Florida, originally Milwaukee, Wisconsin died peacefully on Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home after spreading 96 years of love. She retired from homemaking when she moved to the Allegro in 2013 after 63 years of dedicated service.
Marcy loved meeting new people and could strike up a conversation with a total stranger and soon the two would be fast friends. She used this gift to become a successful Avon lady, to solicit donations for the annual The Shepherd's Center of Orange Park Gala and to charm pageant judges to be crowned 2014 Ms. Assisted Living Facility of Clay County!
Marcy meant so much to so many: beloved wife of Clifford; loving mother to Jeffrey, Michael (Sarah) and Leigh Ann Stachowiak; doting Nana to Zachary (Kayla), Victoria and Sophia Stachowiak; adoring Gigi to Ellie Kathleen and Briar Marcella Stachowiak; devoted sister to Max (Janet) Rozewski and Phyllis (Ray) Kubacki and sister-in-law to Harry (Eunice) Stachowiak, Gertrude Duell, Delores (Ed) Bray. She will also be missed fondly by nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, friends and her Allegro caregivers.
A celebration of her abundant life will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 2:00 pm at CrossRoad Lutheran Church (5101 Lakeshore Drive West, Fleming Island FL,32003).
Crossroad Lutheran Church and The Shepherd's Center of Orange Park (2105Park Ave #30, Orange Park, FL 32073) were important parts of Marcy's life and memorials in her honor to either would be appreciated.
The family asks that no one send fresh flowers, as Marcy passed her terrible pollen allergies to her boys.
