Margaret Ellen Daughety Goetze

Margaret Ellen Daughety Goetze, 56, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. She was born in New Bern, NC and was the daughter of Walter Ellis Daughety and the late Alice Daughety. Ellen was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was admired for her sweet Godly spirit and loving kindness. She was admired by all who had the honor to know and love her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-eight years, John Goetze; daughter Madison Kreitz (Noah); son John Goetze II; father Walter Ellis Daughety of New Bern; sister Beth Andrews (Keith) of New Bern; and many friends and extended family including in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister Allison Daughety Warner.

We will be forever grateful for the love of our family, many friends, and our church family that have been with us during this entire journey. In honor of a life well lived and in lieu of flowers, you may remember Ellen with a donation to Missions at Hibernia Baptist Church (click here).

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 10:00am-11:00am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Hibernia Baptist Church in Fleming Island, FL. The celebration of Ellen’s life will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Scott Yirka officiating.
