Marilyn Jane Storz, 88, died peacefully on Thursday, August 19th in Fleming Island, FL. She was born Marilyn Jane Schaub on July 13, 1933, in Irvington, New Jersey to Charles and Harriet Schaub. Marilyn graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1951 and Berkeley School in1952 where she went on to eventually become an office manager and bookkeeper for various companies. Marilyn and her loving husband, Adolph Storz, moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1980. Marilyn loved tending to her vegetable garden in New Jersey, playing the piano, reading, and knitting. She loved to sing and was an active member of the Suburban Woman’s Club of South Plainfield where she participated in the Sixth District Creative Arts Music Festival. When she moved to Florida, she took up tennis and golf. She gave blood regularly and was an active member of “Give A Life” Foundation and Citizens on Patrol. She enjoyed cooking for the family and whistled while maintaining an immaculate house.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Adolph Storz; children, Holly McQueen and Jonathan Storz (Jennifer); grandchildren, Allison Romm (Miles), Ashley Wilkinson (Richard), Jonathan Storz and Jayden Storz, as well as 2 great grandsons, Parker and Bennett Romm.
A memorial service will be held on September 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Fleming Island for the family with The Rev. Celeste R. Tisdelle officiating.
