Marion Dale Padgett

Marion Dale Padgett was 83 when she passed away on April 7th 2023. She was born May 28, 1939 in Miami, Florida. She was predeceased in death by her Husband Marcus Padgett, her father and mother Murriel and Margaret Gourely and her brother Raymond David Gourley. After attending Clay high school Marion went on to marry Marcus Padgett on October 19, 1956 and chose to be a stay-at-home mom till her late 50s. After raising her two children she became a bus monitor for the Clay County school district. After retiring from her job Marion took an interest in drawing and crafting. She also had a great passion for the Lord and loved attending services at Black Pond Baptist Church as well as spending time with her family when she was able. She is survived by her son Robert Daniel Padgett (Danny), daughter Kellie Wigg and brother Guy Richard Gourley (Ricky). Along with her 6 grandchildren, Kamden, Kayla, Patton, Mark, Jackie and Carrie. She was also blessed with 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Black Pond Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00pm with Rev. Charlie Hunt and Rev. Jason Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Pond Cemetery.
