Mark Edward Lane, 92years old, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 23, 2023. He was born on April 6, 1931 and was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. His parents were Melvin Marvin Lane and Louise Bailey Lane. He was preceded in death by his older brother John Lane. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis E. Lane, his son, Alan (Crystal) Lane, Robert (Youlanda) Lane and daughter Lorrie Albritto, his 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Stuart) Music, Rene (Manuel) Englert, Heather (Kevin) Bayless, Justin Albritton, and Jessica (Brian) Thigpen, his 8 great-grandchildren, Conner, Mckenzie, Trevor, Sebastian, Brook, Jase, Nathaniel and Eli, along with a younger brother Lonnie Lane, Sr. and sister Alice Hunsberger.
Mark Lane graduated from Tech High and received a certificate of auto engineering. He was employed as a maintenance machinist. He loved to work on cars and machine equipment. He was a very family-oriented person. Mark will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone in need, wither mechanical problems or anything else that was in reach of his expertise. He will also be remembered for his grilling and his love for fruity pancakes, that he would make for his children and grandchildren.
He was a devoted Jehovah Witness. The service will be held at the Kingdom Hall located at 2001 Old Middleburg Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32210.
