For years Mary worked for NAS Jacksonville MWR in child care and food services.

Mary Heddy Binns was a spirited, petite lady with firecracker wit and beloved sense of humor. She made beautiful quilts to give away, she cooked fabulous meals for family and friends, she loved to bake even more than cook. Her chocolate cake (the world’s best!) has been fought over time and again. She was ferocious at bingo and adored all of her friends, whom she bestowed with fabulous desserts (so they could keep on winning).

Most of all, Mary was a dear wife, mother, sister, friend who always listened, spoke from her heart, and helped everyone to feel better.

In honoring her wishes, Mary will be cremated and her memorial service with be private.

Memorial donations in Mary’s honor can be made to Community Hospice Center for Caring at St. Vincent’s Riverside, 1 Shircliff Way, 4th Floor, Jacksonville, FL 32204.
