Mary Elizabeth Dugger

December 28, 1941 — July 19, 2023

Mary Elizabeth Dugger (Hankins), lovingly called “Mamie” by all, was called home to her creator, on July 19, 2023.

Mary was born in Deering, Missouri on December 28, 1941, to Ferndon and Opal Hankins. Mary was a loving mother to Sterling Keith Dugger (Carla), Michael Steven Dugger (Debbie) and Elizabeth Dugger Carey (Mark). She also raised her sister, Stephanie Suzanne Davis (Hankins), along with all the children with love and devotion in the Mississippi Delta with her loving husband of 55 years, Sterling Gene Dugger.

She is survived by her children, two sisters, and many biological and adopted grandchildren. Mary became a loving mother and grandmother to the most loving souls that she met.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, July 24, 2023 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Hunt and Rev. Jason Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time.

When returned to lie beside her husband, a graveside Celebration of Life will also be held at Forked Oak Church of Booneville, MS at a later determined date.
