Mary Dell Green

Mary Dell Green, 98, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away March 3, 2018.  She was born on September 8, 1919 in Orange Park, FL to parents Nelson and Annie (Cherry) West.  Mrs. Green had been a nurse at Middleburg Elementary and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.  She was the best grandmother and the best cook, especially her fried chicken.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Oliver B. Green who died in 1983.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia A. Saunders of Middleburg, FL and Rebecca Barksdale (Gerald) of Green Cove Springs, FL; 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Black Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Jim officiating.  The family will receive friends in the church from 10:00 am until service time.  Interment will follow in Middleburg United Methodist Church Cemetery.
