Mary M. Kirkpatrick, 83, of Middleburg, FL passed away February 1, 2019. She was born December 26, 1935 in Madison, FL to the late James Howard and Virginia (Caroll) Crandall. Mary was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Middleburg, FL. She served 6 years in the U.S. Navy before being married and later graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston with her RN degree. Mary loved collecting dolls, anywhere from Porcelain to Barbies.
Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years, Frank Kirkpatrick; son, John Gibbs of Tampa, FL and stepson, James Kirkpatrick (Kathy) of Columbia, SC; daughters, Mary Perdue (Felton) of Jacksonville, FL, Theresa Collins of Tampa, FL and Angela Faulkner (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Pete Crandall of Monticello, FL; sisters, Kathleen Yacovelli (Nick) of Pennsylvania, Laura Jessup of Tallahassee, FL, Lucy Laing (Johnny) of Havana, FL, Hazel Davis of Tennessee and Norma Nahoom (Fred) of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Amanda Perdue Wilkinson (Tim), Scott Perdue (Katie), Hunter Collins, Jared Kirkpatrick, Andrea Kirkpatrick, Logan, Alexis, Joshua, Luke and Zachary Faulkner and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating along with military honors. Interment will be private at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL.
The family would like to thank her nurses Gina and Adamé, her hospice nurses and Medical Social Worker Kerri Evans, Chaplain Coley for the beautiful prayer upon mom’s death and all the staff at Heartland Manorcare Orange Park for their care and attention over the last year.
