Melissa Anne Green-Sale of Orange Park, FL passed away on October 26,2021. Born on the 5th of May 1968, the eldest daughter of James C. Green Jr. and Bette Brooker Green. Born in Green Cove Springs, FL and raised in Middleburg, FL, she attended Middleburg High School.
She spent many years working in the automotive industry in sales and finance. Mel loved fishing with friends and family, though she claimed to not keep count, she always knew who had caught the most and biggest fish. Her passion for nature and animals was bountiful and no pet ever had a more attentive human to tend to their needs. Every one of her pets was spoiled rotten, as she felt they all should be. She carried with her an air of style and grace that lit every room and had the ability to relate to everyone she met whether prince or pauper.
Melissa was a devoted friend to many and was always generous with her time, love, and loyalty. If she called you friend, it was an honor. Mel was never one to mince words and her story telling skills were legendary. Her straight forward, no-filter advice was given whether you asked for it or not, though it was always given with the purest of intentions. She was quick to laugh and slow to anger-unless someone told her “Smile more”. She just had one of those faces.
She will be remembered for being a devoted daughter, fierce sister and loyal friend. For the boundless love for her daughter Keely and most adoring wife of Chuck, who made her soul shine like no one else. Mel would be the first to say, “Keep your chin up, sweet pea”, so we will.
Melissa is preceded in death by her beloved mother Bette Brooker Green. She is survived by her father, James “Jim” Green Jr; sister, Betsie Green; brother, James “Jamie” Green III; cousins, Michelle (Shawn) Ratio, Michael (Laura) Allen, and Tara Brooker; nephews, Ben Green and Jacob Green; niece, Sophia Green; step-children Chelsea (Josh) Collins and Charles Sale II and god-daughter, Hope Morris. She leaves behind her loving daughter, to whom she was eternally devoted, Keely Shea O’Neill, along with the truest love of her life husband, Charles “Chuck” Sale.
