Michael David Whitener

Michael David Whitener from Middleburg, FL passed away on Monday, May 4th 2020 in Palatka, FL where he resided for the last 18 years. Michael was born June 10, 1952 to Donald and Sarah Whitener in Doctor’s Inlet, FL. Michael was proceeded in death by Donald and Sarah Whitener, and is survived by his wife Kathy Whitener of Palatka, FL, and 2 daughters, Tracy Whitener of Palatka, FL, and Kelli Prevatt of Middleburg, FL, and 1 grandson Garrett Prevatt of Middleburg, FL.

Michael was a proud American who bravely fought in the Vietnam War for the United States Army and loved his family above anything else. Michael aka (Rascal) will forever be remembered for his love of his family, hunting, fishing, water skiing, and his only grandson Garrett. He also deeply cared about his friends. If you had Rascal as a friend then you had a friend for life.

Unfortunately, because of the Coronavirus we are unable to hold his funeral service at the funeral home. However, if you would like to pay your respects then please come to his house Friday, May 8th at 5pm.
