Milton Leroy Padgett

Milton Leroy Padgett, 83, of Middleburg, FL gained his angel wings on April 2, 2021.  He was born on June 15, 1937 in Middleburg, FL to the late Orrie and Martha (Nichols) Padgett.  Milton was a lifelong resident of Clay County, FL.  He pulpwooded and cleared land all his life.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing bluegrass music at cookouts. Milton served 4 years in the Army Air National Guard.

Milton was a lifelong member of the Middleburg Church of God off Howard Road in Middleburg, FL. The church was founded by Milton’s late grandfather, Johnnie Padgett and Milton helped build the church over 70 years ago.  He will be deeply missed by many family and friends.

Milton is survived by his wife, Mary Parker Stump Padgett; children, Beverly Williamson (Jeff) of Virginia, Rhonda Garvin (Belton) of Virginia, Diana Jimmison (Bert) of Middleburg and Milton “Jr” Padgett (Alyssa) of St. Pete; grandchildren, Cierra Jimmison, Garet Jimmison, Michael Padgett, Kobe Padgett, Brooklyn Padgett and Evan Padgett.

A celebration of life service will be at 3pm, Sunday April 18, 2021 at the Middleburg Church of God, 2728 Howard Road, Middleburg, FL 32068 with Pastor Jamie Wyatt officiating. All friends and family are invited to attend.
