Nancy Carol Sinclair

Fleming Island, FL - Nancy Sinclair, 85, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2017, at home.

Nancy was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on December 25, 1932 to Ernest and Nella (Morin) Pederson.  She grew up in Berlin, NH, then moved to the Washington, D.C. area with her father in his assignments as a military officer and State Department official. After graduating from high school as the salutatorian, she attended the University of Maryland, where she met Fredrick R. Sinclair, the love of her life. Nancy and Fred married in 1953 in Washington, D.C., and  were happily married for the rest of their lives together until Fred’s death in 2002.  Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church of Homestead and Hibernia Baptist Church of Fleming Island. She enjoyed singing in the choir and writing words of endearing love and faith in the Lord. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

Nancy is survived by her son Fredrick E. Sinclair and wife Cindy of Atlanta, GA; son Shawn Sinclair and wife Denise of Homestead, FL;  daughter Susan Beylard and husband Sam of Tavernier, FL;  daughter Cyndee Hickson and husband Mark of Fleming Island, FL; daughter-in-law Donna Sinclair of Vero Beach, FL; brother Roger Pederson of Portsmouth, NH; sister Alice Pederson of West Springfield, MA; grandchildren Steven Sinclair, Jennifer Winder, Samuel Beylard, Nancy Mendoza, Fredrick Sinclair, Heather Sinclair, Keith Sinclair, Krista Sinclair, Christopher Hickson, and Michael Hickson; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Frederick R. Sinclair, sons Steven and Scott Sinclair, sister Suzette Kropf, parents Ernest and Nella Pederson, and step-mother Edith Pederson.

A memorial service will be held at Hibernia Baptist Church, 7100 US-17, Fleming Island, Florida, 32003 at 11:30am, January 6, 2018. The family will be greeting friends and relatives following the service.
