Nikki Murrhee Jolley, born to Robyn Loner McInerney and Michael Jennings Murrhee Jr on June 25th, 1984 passed away on August 20th 2023. Nikki spent her entire professional life caring for the needs of thousands of children through her work as an educator in the Clay County School District, and dozens more while leading the KHHS Girls Volleyball program. As a teacher of 17 years, she began her career at Keystone Heights High school as a Junior high math teacher and coach. Later, she decided to move to McRae Elementary where she spent the last seven school years teaching, mentoring and inspiring children and adults alike in the world of public education. She earned a Bachelors Degree from Florida State University, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, she dedicated the majority of her adult life to the children of our community and will be missed immensely by her peers and students alike.
For the last 11 years, Nikki’s passion and most prized accomplishment has been raising her son, Jace Barrett Jolley, whom she loved immeasurably. Her love and adoration for her son was the cornerstone of her life and will always be the most precious gift she gave this world.
Married to Trae Jolley, on November 6, 2010, she and Trae lived in Keystone Heights Florida where they raised their son together. Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Michael Jennings Murrhee Jr., her grandmothers Georgia Walker Murrhee and Eleanor Prevatt Loner, and Grandfather, Otto Jennings Murrhee Jr. Nikki is survived by her mother Robyn Loner McInerny, her mother and father in law, Travis and Kim Jolley, her sisters Dana Brock (Greg), Tori Hughes (Shane), and her brothers Michael Jennings Murrhee Jr, Tyler Jolley (Miranda), and 6 nieces and nephews. The loves of her life, Christopher Trae and Jace Barrett Jolley. Her love and passion for her family will forever be missed and her family will be grateful for the wonderful 39 years of love she gave us all.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm on Saturday, August 26th at Keystone Golf and Country Club. (294 SE 43rd Street. Keystone Heights, Fl. 32656)
In lieu of flowers, the family has created a memorial fund entitled Nikki’s “Jolley” Fund. This fund will provide resources and gifts to underprivileged children at McRae Elementary. Second only to Nikki’s dedication to her son and husband, she spent her time at McRae teaching and ensuring the students who entered the building had everything they needed to reach their full potential.
