Ouida Mae Pugh Jones

Ouida Mae Pugh Jones of Middleburg, Florida passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023 at the age of 97. She was born December 20, 1925, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Ellis and Ethel Pugh. Ouida had two siblings: Martha and Vernon Pugh.

Ouida married Donald Hugh Jones, the love of her life, in Mobile, Alabama on December 27, 1944. During their 68 years together, they had four sons: Don Jr. (Wanda), Gary (Sandra), Patrick (Vicky), and Michael (died at birth). She has 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

Her passions in life aside from her family included Maine Coon Cats, little yappy dogs, fishing in Panama City Beach, Florida, and penny slot machines at the casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ellis & Ethel Pugh, her husband Donald Jones Sr., her sons Michael & Gary Jones, her sister Martha Pugh Gallagher and her brother Vernon Pugh.

She will forever be in our hearts.
