Patricia L. McFarland

August 24, 1945 — September 1, 2019

Patricia L. McFarland, 74, passed away unexpectantly, surrounded by family on September 1st, 2019 a day after her 34th anniversary to her beloved, best friend, and husband Billy Wayne McFarland. Pat and Bill’s favorite playful phrase to each other was “I love you more” and signing their cards and notes with “me”. Many can learn about true love through watching them living out their marriage as two best friends.

She was born in Savannah, Georgia, on August 24, 1945, to the late John F. Marden and Doris L. Marden.  Pat (a/k/a Patsy and Patty sue) was the first child of 4 and is survived by her spouse, Billy Wayne McFarland; two daughters, Diane Dienell and JoAnn Tufo; 4 step children, Tracey Williamson, Shawn McFarland, Wynn Henderson, and Jennifer Shea.  Pat was also blessed with 1 grandchild, Timothy Allala; and 8 step-grandchildren, Ryan Henderson, Dylan and Patrick Williamson, Natalie, Jake and Lucy Shea, and Joseph and Maggie McFarland.

Pat had an incredible talent and passion for sewing, quilting, crocheting, cross stitching, and many other artistic crafting. Also, she enjoyed golfing, gardening, and sharing her love to family and friends.  A swimmer winning many awards in high school, also played basketball and softball in school.  She was known for her warm, caring, and funny personality and will be greatly missed.

Pat’s career progressed retiring as a Chief Financial Officer and Director of Human Resources for Bremer Medical & Brace Company.  She was a member with The Women of the Moose.  She believed in and loved Moosehaven dearly and will be rested in the community mausoleum.  Her and husband, residents of Moosehaven, have truly enjoyed their many friendships in the neighborhood.

A celebration of life for all friends and family will take place on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Moosehaven’s Brandon Place Club House from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.  Flowers and condolences may be sent to 1701 Park Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073
