Patrick H Heck

PATRICK H. HECK, went to be with our Lord, Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 18^th 2020. He was born to Eugene and Margaret Heck on October 19^th 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Stivers High School and received his associate degree in teaching from Southern Illinois University. He served 24 years before he retired from the United States Navy. Then, he worked 14 years before retiring from LSI Logistic Services International where he then worked his “DREAM JOB” with the public school system as a Special Needs & Substitute Teacher. He was married for 53 glorious years to his beloved wife Brenda Heck and a Long time Parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was a 4^th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and became deeply involved in Challenge Enterprises organization. His hobbies included, camping, RVing, fishing, hunting, gardening and above all GOLF. He will always be remembered as a GREAT Teacher, Coach, Mentor, Friend, Family Leader, Husband and Father. He is preceded in death by his loving father, Eugene; mother, Margaret and his dear son, Timothy. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; eldest son, Robert (Paula); daughter-in-law, Andrea; youngest son, Michael (Stacey); 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Heck (Malee), Kathleen Anzek (Ed), Elizabeth Harris (David) and Charles Heck (Jane).

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The funeral mass will begin at 12:00pm with Fr. Michael Pendergraft as celebrant.
