Paul Anthony Haynes, 28, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away unexpectedly and went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
He was born to Norman W. Haynes, Jr. and Jacqueline M. Haynes on December 7, 1993 in Jacksonville, Florida.
After graduating from high school, he took a break from school and explored several employment opportunities. He had a great interest in helping others recover from injury; this led him to continue his formal education. Before his death, Paul was successfully finishing up the required coursework for admission to the Assistant Physical Therapist program at Florida State College.
Paul was most recently employed as an activity’s assistant with the Jewish Community Alliance After School program. He loved working with the professional and very caring staff; it was a joy for him to lead and participate with the children in a variety of activities. He was so proud of the nickname they had given him - “Coach Paul".
He will be remembered as a compassionate and caring man. He was sensitive to the hurts and concerns of others and always ready to help anyone in need. He had a knowing, gentle smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He was always pursuing truth, curious and open to learning new things and thinking outside the box. When he was a little child, he would often ask his Dad or Mom, "Do you want to know something?" - and then go on to share that "something" he had learned. His interests were wide and varied - from playing his favorite video games, improving physical health, examining various viewpoints of important subjects … to martial arts (a student of Wing Chun). He had a great wit and sharp mind. He was a child of God, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, a loving son, a beloved brother and true friend to all.
He is survived by his parents, Norman and Jacqueline Haynes; his brothers, Jack (Jennifer) Williams and Joseph Haynes; and many loving family members.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Mandarin Cemetery with Reverend Brook Batchler officiating. The date/ time of a memorial service will be announced.

He was a nice young man and we enjoyed his friendship and time on lipwally's twisted radio show as well as just a regular visit for company...(we) … think of him often. We will continue to keep his memory alive and we are grateful that we got to know Paul. He loved his family very much...Paul will forever be in our hearts...Paul was also known as Ryan Paul, Paul Ryan....just a little joke when we first met. We will cherish it always.. may he rest in peace..." Phil and Christine Walker, Lipwally's Twisted Radio Show
"...Paul was an amazing man and an incredible addition to After School. Each day his positivity and optimism radiated throughout our program. The impact he had on our children, and colleagues, will ripple through time as we carry on his memory. Paul was a beloved member of our team, spreading joy and warmth in each interaction. Our staff and children quickly came to love him with his humble demeanor, kind smile and wonderful personality. He was an exemplary colleague and such an asset to our program. Coach Paul will be deeply missed by all of us in Youth Services..." Amanda Colins, Youth Services Director, Jewish Community Alliance
"...Your family was a joy to have in class, and in particular Paul. I clearly see his face asking thoughtful questions about particular movements and concepts … Out of the thousands of students who have walked through the Atlantic Warriors door over the last two decades … Paul is easy to think about and fondly remember. In addition, you and he fall into a special category of the Atlantic Warriors family- The original crew of cherished students..." Sifu Jonathan Petree, Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun
