Pastor Paul Curtis Salazar

Pastor Paul “Curtis” Salazar, 74, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away April 7, 2017.  He was born on March 9, 1943 in Honolulu, HI to parents Henry and Helen (Wilcox) Salazar.  He moved to the local area in 1963 and was the owner of Salazar Electric.  He had also been the Pastor of Christian Fellowship Church since 1983.  Mr. Salazar served his country in the United States Air Force and while stationed at NAS Jacksonville he met his wife Bobbie and they were married on September 1, 1966. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lydia Owana Hunter and is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Bobbie Salazar; children, Thomas Luke Salazar of Green Cove Springs, FL, Charles Michael Salazar of Green Cove Springs, FL, Kathy A. Cochran (Philip) of St. Augustine, FL and Jerry Duane Dyal of Green Cove Springs, FL; brothers, Henry Salazar (Virgie), Michael Salazar (Cheryl) and Stephen Salazar, all of Hawaii; sister, Owana Salazar of Hawaii and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, April 9, 2017 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Tim Hall officiating.  Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
