Peggy Lee Elliott

August 5, 1955 — August 17, 2022

Peggy Lee Elliott, age 67, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on August 17, 2022, after a long battle with health issues. Peggy was born on August 5, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida to parents James Edward Crosby and Winnifred Marcus Crosby. She grew up in Orange Park, Florida and attended Orange Park High School. She worked for years in a plant nursery. She loved the outdoors, the beach, sunsets, finding sharks’ teeth, a good yard sale, and would never miss the opportunity to educate you about different plants. She never met a stranger and always spoke her mind without a filter. She loved people and would make a friend everywhere she went. She loved music and could sing every song that came on the radio.

She is survived by her daughter Erica Crosby Smith; son-in-love Mark Smith; daughter-in-love Debra Crosby; grandchildren Kyle, Emily, Jaylen, and Makhia; and siblings Nancy Looney (Herman), Cathy Kight, and Jill Crosby (Sherry).

Peggy was a good woman, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved everyone and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

A memorial service will be held for Peggy at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Spring Park (106 St John’s Ave. Green Cove Springs, Florida 32043).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Is Restored to combat human trafficking (click here).
