Ralph R. Peavy

Ralph R. Peavy, 88, of Bostwick, FL, passed away at a local hospital on February 25, 2021.  He was born in Cuthbert, GA on June 20, 1932 to parents Benjamin and Carrie Peavy.  He had resided in the area for most of his life and was Baptist by faith.  In the 1970’s he was the Pastor of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Middleburg and Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs.    Mr. Peavy was an aircraft electrician at NAS Jax Naval Depot for 42 years before retiring.

 He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Edna Peavy; parents, granddaughter, Victoria Arnold; brothers, Foy Peavy and Paul Peavy; sisters, Martha Todd and Pauline Brown.

 Mr. Peavy is survived by his son, Terry (Susan) Arnold; daughter, Sherry (Rodney) Mosley; grandchildren, Gail Hancock, Kristi Shover, Terry Dewayne Arnold, Jr., William Arnold, Katelyn (Austin) Arnold Tyler, Hannah Arnold, Angela Arnold and Tracy Turner; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Jackson, Mattie Hancock, Kyler, Brayden and Logan Shover, Riley, Lilly, Aiden, Ava Marie and Olivia Arnold; numerous loving nieces and nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Ron Baker officiating.  Interment will follow in Russel Haven of Rest Cemetery.
