Raul Santiago

 Raul Santiago, 87, of Fleming Island, FL passed away on May 15, 2024.   He was born to Alejandro and Filomena Santiago in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 8,1937. Raul was one of 10 children. Raul moved to New York when he was 18 years old, and then onto Florida in 1976. 

Raul is survived by his wife of 61 years, Thomasina Santiago. Raul had 5 sons, and 2 daughters; over 23 grandchildren; over 24 great-grandchildren; and more than 10 great-great grandchildren. 

Raul was known to most everyone as “Grandpa”.  His endearing way made those who met him love him.  He had a handy man service and enjoyed helping people. Grandpa’s hobbies were going to the gym and on daily walks with Grandma.  He had a special place in his heart for children and animals.   Grandpa loved his church and had been attending True Life church for the past six years. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at True Life Church, 2221 County Road 220, Middleburg, FL 32068.
