Rev. Brenda Lee Girard-Markus

Rev. Brenda Lee Girard-Markus, 53, of Jacksonville, FL passed away June 18, 2019. Brenda was born October 6, 1965 in Lorain, Ohio to the late Viola R. Dunlap-Girard and Andrew A. Girard Sr.

A lovely, wonderful, awesome and creative person has passed on to where angels dwell. Brenda had an emended laugh and awesome giggle & her sense of humor was goofy. She had a heart of gold and as big as the world. Always caring for others before herself was immensely kind and loving person. Rooms light up when she entered… everyone was treated as family. She put the sparkle in the Milky Way. I was proud to have her as a sister.

Brenda leaves behind husband, Scott L. Markus; sister, Jacqueline M. Girard; brother, Andrew A. Girard Jr.; foster sister, Linda Hopkins; foster brother, Mark Davis; her beloved golden doodle, Henry Hayes Higgens Doodlelittle Dunlap; her kitty cat, grey- grey; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Those that she is now sitting around the kitchen table in heaven most likely having angel food cake with is mother, Viola R. Dunlap-Girard; father, Andrew A. Girard Sr.; foster mother, Charlotte S. Davis; foster father, Denzil Davis; many aunts, uncles, cousins and much loved pets.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Monday, June 24, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 3:00pm with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
