Richard James Keefe, Jr. (Butch)

Richard James Keefe Jr., 67, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025. He was born to Bernice Leonard and Richard James Keefe Sr. on November 22, 1957 in Orange Park, FL.

Richard was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent 40 years as a welder at Mobro Marine. He was known for his honesty, loyalty, and strong work ethic. When he wasn’t working, Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, and fishing—two of his favorite pastimes. He loved his children and grandbabies deeply, and his presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Richard is preceded in death by a son, Richard James Keefe III (Jimmy) who tragically lost his life at the age of 24.

He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Dianne Keefe; his daughter, Macy Annmarie Keefe; and his cherished granddaughters, Olivia Jane Woods and Madilyn Paige Keefe.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on April 5th at 3:00 PM at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Guests are welcome to arrive starting at 2:30 PM.

Richard’s legacy of hard work, love, and loyalty will live on through his family and all those whose lives he touched.
