Richard Earnest Rooker III, 23, of Green Cove Springs, Florida died early on the morning of February 15, 2019, in a motorcycle accident on highway 17 in Green Cove Springs on his way to work at VacCon Inc.
Richard was the first-born son of Richard Rooker Jr. and Vicki Lynn King arriving on October 16th, 1995 in Auburn, New York. He graduated from Clay High School in Green Cove Springs, class of 2014 specializing in carpentry. He was working towards career at VacCon Inc. in their service department and met some great friends there. He was a funny, charismatic, energetic, hardworking, strong young man who loved and was loved by so many people. He had one brother, Jozeph Isiah Rooker of Green Cove Springs, Florida. Richard loved to spend his spare time fishing and hunting with his friends and family. He had a very special relationship with his Pop whom he respected, admired and looked up to in every way. He also had an indescribable love for his Grandma Ginny who taught him how to be a big boy when he was still so little! He found his niche in welding and wood-work. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to play pool with his family and friends. His family paid tribute to him in saying... “Ricky will be most remembered for always being there to help ANYONE, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE in need of ANYTHING... that’s just the kind of man he was!!!”
Richard is survived by his father, Richard Earnest Rooker Jr.; his mother, Vicki Lynn King; his brother, Jozeph Isiah Rooker; paternal grandparents, Richard and Virginia Rooker; maternal grandparents, Gary and Deborah King and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating.
