Robert Allan Andersen, 79, of Orange Park, FL passed away Sunday, April 14th, 2024, after a long battle with illness. He was born on April 23, 1944 to Louis and Eleanor Andersen in Jersey City, NJ. He graduated from CIA- Culinary Institute of America in New York and worked in multiple kitchens in NJ and FL. Rob was in the Korean and Vietnam War in the 101st Airborne division. Rob was a Christian with many hobbies: Computer drawing and making memes, cards, graphic arts, Dad jokes and cooking. He will be remembered for his kindness, loving and compassionate nature. Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Eleanor; his sister, Evelyn and his brother, Luis. He is survived by his life partner of 22 years, Margaret Coffin of Bellows Fall, Vermont, and her children, Brett Coffin, Harvey Coffin and his spouse Elena, Kim Small, and her spouse Keith, Sue Coffin, and Peggy Aldrich and her spouse Ted; his nephew, Todd Hopper of Orange Park, FL and his spouse Susan; a nephew, Roy Andersen of St Augustine, FL. and his spouse Karyln; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
