Robert Belet, 68, of Fleming Island, Florida passed away on July 30, 2020. He was born in Nuremburg, Germany on January 6, 1952 to parents Frederick Belet and Eileen Besaw (Belet), who were stationed there locally at the time. The year 1976 is when Robert moved to Orange Park, Florida, where he was stationed at NAS Jacksonville. He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1974, later retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. June 6, 1974 is when he married Norma Belet. Robert went on to serve as a Clay County Deputy for eleven years. His interests pertained to reading, his membership in the Gateway Rifle and Pistol Club, and animals. He was a lifetime member of The American Legion post 258 and a member of the NRA.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Norma Belet; and brothers, Geoffrey Belet (Margie), Brian Belet (Marianne), and Dave Belet.
