Robert T. Mogk, Jr.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Robert Theodore Mogk, Jr. beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who left us on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the age of 78. He was born to Robert Theodore Mogk, Sr., and Marian Martin Mogk on August 24, 1945 in Mineola, New York. Graduating from Commack High school in Long Island in 1964, he then joined the Air Force and faithfully served his country retiring with twenty years of active duty as a

 Master Sergeant.  Following his retirement, he worked for General Dynamics and Anacomp as a computer technician.   

In his spare time, he watched John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and all other macho man style movies, and, of course, Tombstone. He also had a green thumb as evidenced by his luscious backyard.  After his retirement, he developed a passion for Bob Ross-style painting, which he then emulated and freely gave to friends and family. 

As the heart of the family, his positive and uplifting spirit was clearly felt by everyone with whom he came in contact. He made sure that all his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends felt treasured and valued, and his love for others was evident in every word he said, and every action he took.  

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Robert Sr, and Marian, as well as his brothers Bruce and Dane.  He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, and his daughters Julie (husband, Mark), Heather, and Faith, his grandchildren Alyssa, Jayde, Ethan, Ali and Jillian, and his great grandchildren Kylee, Harlee, Cora, and Benzlee. 

Funeral services will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel, on Friday, June 7th.  Visitation is from 2:00 - 3:00 PM and the service will be held at 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, we request that a donation be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at dogood.t2t.org.
