He married Patricia McGraw on September 2, 1955 in Flint, Michigan.

After 1964, Bob was a single parent raising their four children.

Bob met and married Kathleen Gillen on December 24, 1976 in

Harrison, Michigan. They shared 44 wonderful years together.

Bob worked for Chevrolet for some years and took an early retirement. He later went back to work for the state of Michigan as a Welfare Supervisor for 10 years before he officially retired.
