Robert Glenn Stokes

Robert Glenn Stokes, 80, of Middleburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2023.  He was born on June 30, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Everett and Dorothy (Moody) Stokes. 

Robert graduated from Englewood High School in Jacksonville, Florida.  He was a dedicated servant of the Lord and served as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday School directory, RA leader, kitchen committee and various other committees for nearly 50 years at First Baptist Middleburg.  He was extremely proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren as often as possible.  

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Dorothy Stokes, his brothers Dick Stokes & Mike Stokes, and his sons Robert Glenn Stokes, Jr. & Matthew Carl Stokes.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy Eagle Stokes, his children Christian Todd Stokes, Mitchell Adam Stokes (Lori) & Rory Stokes, his daughter-in-law Sherry Stokes, his grandchildren Cory Stokes (Marilyn), Jared Stokes (Bailey), Dylan Stokes (Morgan), Kara Stokes, Brent Stokes & Chad Stokes, his great-grandchildren Caylee Marie Stokes, Caroline Paige Stokes, Camberlyn Blair Stokes & Glavine Adam Stokes, his sisters Jill Replogle & Betty Panella, and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Middleburg with Rev. Todd Jones officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time.
