Robyn Forman Bartman

Robyn Forman Bartman, 75, of St. Augustine, Florida, formerly of Middletown, Maryland, passed away on January 5, 2025, after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. Robyn was born to the late Robert H. Forman, II and Patricia Potter Forman in Washington, D.C. on August 27, 1949.

Robyn will be lovingly and forever remembered by her family and friends as the ultimate mother, a doting grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a majorette, a swim team mom, a volunteer, a business woman, a lover of dogs and birds, a world traveler, an avid reader, a welcoming host to all who entered her warm and loving home, and a second mother to her children’s friends. Among other things, Robyn was a former Miss Orange County (Virginia) beauty queen and later in life worked in the banking and retail industries, helped to start and manage the Yellow Barn Studio & Gallery in Glen Echo, Maryland and other art studios and galleries, and spent many hours volunteering her time with the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (now known as Frederick Health Auxiliary) in Frederick, Maryland.

Robyn is survived by five children: a daughter, Hollin E. Hinkle of Ocean City, Maryland; a son, Walter M. Bartman, III of St. Augustine, Florida; a son, Ian P. Bartman and his wife Katherine of Middletown, Maryland; a daughter, Summer E. Riddle and her husband Jake of Thurmont, Maryland; and a son, Brandt R. Bartman and his wife Brittany of New Market, Maryland; and 13 beloved grandchildren: John N. Hinkle, III; Alexandra E. Hinkle; Cailyn R. Hinkle; Clara H. Hinkle; Marin M. Bartman; Walter M. Bartman, IV; Helen Robyn Bartman; Morgan Brynn Bartman; Seamus P. Riddle; Barry M. Riddle; Angus G. Riddle; Brielynn R. Bartman; and William R. Bartman. Robyn also is survived by three siblings: a brother, Robert H. Forman, III; a sister, Holly F. Duff; and Michael A. Forman; and was preceded in death by a sister, Laurie F. Austin.

Celebrations of Robyn’s life will be held by the family in Florida and Maryland at dates to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Robyn’s memory to the American Cancer Society. https://donate.cancer.org/
