Roger Z. Lentile

Roger Z.  Lentile, 79, of Green Cove Springs Florida passed away Friday, August 24, 2018. He was born to James Perry Lentile and Flossie Osborne Lentile on July 30, 1939. He was raised in Toombs County Georgia where he attended Marvin Yancey High School before joining the military. He spent his time in the United States Army stationed largely in Germany. After leaving the military and returning home, he married Lorine Feagle. They celebrated their 54^th wedding Anniversary on August 22, 2018. They were both members of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs where they made their home and built their family together.

He loved the outdoors and spent the majority of his life finding ways to both work and play there. He owned businesses in land clearing and was a retired tree surgeon. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. He will be remembered most though, as a loving husband and wonderful father and “Papa”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Flossie, as well as his siblings, Kenneth Larry Lentile, Wilton Phillis “Phil” Lentile and Foye Lentile Woodham. His mother-in-law Sadie Feagle, with whom he was particularly close, precedes him as well.

He is survived by his wife Lorine Lentile, his daughter and son-in-law Lori and Danny Fehr, his two granddaughters Mallorie Cooper and Haley Fehr, and his great-grandson Jonah Hilley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, August 27, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Russell Franklin officiating.  Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
