Roy James Dodgen, Jr., of Middleburg, Florida passed away on May 7, 2023. He was born to Roy Dodgen, Sr. and Leila Frances Dodgen (Brook) in Atlanta, Georgia on April 15, 1942. He graduated from Bob Jones Academy in Greenville, SC and entered the Navy after graduation. He retired from Winn-Dixie Stores as a Supervisor in the General Merchandise. Also, he has a second retirement from Clay County Recreation Department as the safety inspector of park equipment. He was a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church. Roy's favorite pastime was deer hunting, spending many long days sitting in a tree stand looking for and waiting for that perfect trophy buck.
He was precded in death by his Mother and Father. Surviving is his wife of 58 years Lind and his children, Roy (Chip) Dodgen, III, Melissa (Dannie) Williams and Kenneth (Kimberly) Dodgen, sister Patricia Evans, brother Jack Dodgen, grandchildren Triston Williams, Danielle Williams, Gracie Williams, Karson Dodgen and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Notification will be sent at a later date for burial at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville.
