Ruby Mae Little

Homemaker, mom, and Navy wife of 63 years, Ruby Mae Little, 83 years old of Orange Park, Florida, passed away August 28, 2023.  She was born March 23, 1940, in Fort Pierce, FL to Edward Isacc Parker and Jennifer Louise Parker.  Ruby graduated from Fort Pierce High School and married Charles Ernest Little, US Navy Officer in 1958.  Ruby contributed to local scholarship funds within Orange Park Community and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and painting.   She was an avid bird lover, a voracious reader, and a caregiver to neighborhood cats. She enjoyed her Summerlin Family Heritage where she grew up living in the Orange Groves of South Florida with her brother, Joe. She always spoke fondly about growing up near the Indian River and the days spent with family on the island.  She will be remembered for her love of family, her love of storytelling, and as a kind soul to all.

Ruby is survived by her son Charles E. Little, wife Angela F. Little, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  

A memorial service will be held on October 1st, 2023, at Sullivan Hall at 2:00pm behind the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7190 Highway 17 South, Fleming Island, Florida 32003
