Ruth Beatrice Sherwood

Ruth Beatrice Sherwood, 93, of Green Cove Springs, FL, went to Heaven on Monday, January 24, 2022. She was born to Gene Hoffman and Beatrice Hoffman on October 4, 1928 in Jacksonville, FL. She was married to Clarence Beaufort Sherwood for 53 years, then widowed in 2008. She was a homemaker and attended Florida State University. She attended River Christian Church.

She will be remembered for her sweet personality and loving nature and her belief in Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Sherwood and daughter, Julie Arntz.

She is survived by her daughters, Susie Abel of Pittsburgh, PA and Ruthie Blount of Green Cove Springs, FL. She is also survived by her many grandchildren.

She will have a small service at Jacksonville National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:30 pm. Please arrive by 1:15 pm and line up in Lane #3.
