Ryan Joseph Wheeler, 42, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2024, in Wyoming. He was born on May 28, 1981, in Yokosuka, Japan, to Jeffery (Jef) Wheeler and Maureen (Little) Wheeler. Ryan spent his formative years in Jacksonville, Florida, where he attended Terry Parker High School. He later went on to work in the oil fields of Wyoming, North Dakota, Colorado, and Pennsylvania.
Ryan had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his time fishing, hiking, and working on his beloved Dodge Ram and other old cars. Known for his strong work ethic and unparalleled expertise in his field, Ryan dedicated long days, for weeks on end to his work, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
Ryan is survived by his children, Killian Jeffery and Penelope Cathryne; his brothers, Courtenay J. Wheeler and his wife, Erica (Lanier), and Roman Wheeler's girlfriend, Macy Comeau.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Margaret Little on his mother’s side along with Eddie and Paula (step) Wheeler on his father’s side.
Ryan will be remembered for his unwavering sense of humor, kindness, generosity, steadfast loyalty to all he loved and respected and mostly for his deep love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 6, 2024 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.
