Sally (Morris) McDonald, 77, of Jacksonville, FL passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Sally was born on June 5, 1940 to the late Frances (Baily) and Abbott Morris. She was raised in Morehead City, North Carolina and went on to attend East Carolina University, where she received her BA in just 3 years in 1961. Sally and family moved to Florida in 1973, she had a long and successful career and retired from aerospace purchasing in 2007. Sally is survived by her sons, Kevin Dean (fiancee Tina Hafner) and Roddy Lee (wife Allison) and 4 grandchildren: Kendall, Austin, Avery and Olivia and 2 great-grandchildren (Eli and Jaxson) . Sally is preceded in death by former husband Larry Kirk, husband Captain Edwin McDonald, her parents and brother (Joseph Morris).Sally was an incredibly kind and generous lady with a great sense of humor. As a young woman she was an avid Shag dancer and is in the North Carolina Shag Hall of Fame. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles and an icy cold glass of white wine. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 29 from 4-7 at Sally’s home for a celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
