Sandra "Sandy" Earl Kersey

Sandra “Sandy” Earl Kersey, 78, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away June 15, 2018.  She was born on October 5, 1939 in Brantley, Alabama to the late John Foster and Earle Dean (Adams) Hutcheson. She came to the area around 1952 from Alabama and was a member of South Middleburg Baptist Church. Sandy loved her family, church, friends and her sidekick dog, Tinkerbell. She also enjoyed gardening her flowers. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Kersey; grandson, Kip Kersey and granddaughter, Brandy Rhoden.

Sandy is survived by her sons, Kevin Kersey (Laura), Keith Kersey (Carla) and Kent Kersey (Linda); daughter, Kim Carlier (Jeff); brother, Dale Hutcheson (Wylene); 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at South Middleburg Baptist Church with Pastor Delton Kilpatrick officiating and burial will follow at Black Creek Cemetery. The pallbearers are Kevin Kersey, Keith Kersey, Kent Kersey, Jeff Carlier, Chris Rhoden, and Brandon Rhoden; honorary pallbearers are Floyd Mosley and Jimmy Gaskins.
