Sara Jean Johnson

Sara Jean Johnson, of Green Cove Springs, died on May 13, 2024 at her home. 

She was born on May 9, 1979, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the daughter of Sandra Karst and Matthew Johnson. 

Sara’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to her family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. She lived a vibrant life and still had so much life ahead of her. She proudly received her Realtor’s license last year and looked forward to putting families in their new forever homes. Sara worked at UPS and was a Realtor for Lokation Realty.   Sara loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking out and going to the beach, but her number one hobby was assembling the most beautiful gift baskets for others.

She is survived by her three sons, Hennessey Johnson (Giovanna), Reimey Johnson and Martel Johnson of Green Cove Springs, Fl., parents, Sandra Karst of Orange Park, FL and Matthew Johnson of Fond du lac, WI,   a brother, Jason Karst (Georgia) of Fleming Island, Fl.,  two aunts, Dawn (Joe) Pellegrino of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Susan Fagan of Rockford, IL., and one uncle, Kendall Karst of Milwaukee, Wi..   Also, survived by cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles, and many good friends. 

Sara was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles F. Gray Jr. and Charlotte Ann Gray; her stepfather, Jason Karst, Sr. And her uncle, Corey Karst. 

Relatives and friends may call on Sara’s family on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Cremation and private burial for immediate family to follow later.
